MAKING EVERLASTING MEMORIES

The perfect honeymoon

Joe's dream was for an amazing honeymoon for his beautiful bride, Audrey.

Audrey initially reached out to Dreams2Memories to make a dream come true for her fiance Joe. Joe's cancer sadly returned late 2024 and is incurable. On the back of this heartbreaking news, Joe and Audrey set about moving their wedding plans forward.

After talking to Joe about his dream, Joe mentioned that he would have loved a helicopter ride from their photo location on their wedding day to their wedding reception at Leighinmohr House.

Sadly, after many calls, we were advised that this was not possible due to the level of risk associated with the helicopter landing and taking off in these locations. However, Joe and Audrey had a backup dream to return to Castle Leslie in Monaghan, where they got engaged.

We reached out to Kevin Kenny, the general manager of the hotel, who was absolutely amazing. Within a couple of days , Kevin had arranged a 3 night stay at this beautiful location (in between Joe's scheduled treatment).

And because Joe's initial dream was a helicopter ride, we spoke to Audrey about organising a helicopter tour of the local area, Audrey confirmed that Joe would love this. And thanks to Robert at Cutting Edge Helicopters, Geraldine booked an amazing tour for Joe and Audrey starting and ending at Castle Leslie. We were blown away by the generosity of these amazing businesses and are eternally grateful for their kindness and support.

Joe and Audrey had the most amazing time at the hotel. In their own words 'they were treated like royalty throughout'. We couldn't have asked for more.

The helicopter ride was the icing on the cake. Joe was absolutely blown away when he saw the helicopter landing, he couldn't believe his dream had come true and much more.

We, at Dreams2Memories, wish Joe and Audrey every happiness in their life together. Making this dream come true for such a beautiful couple was an absolute pleasure. Needless to say, we have all become lifelong friends. Geraldine x
